Arthur Rovozzo
This film project is the brainchild of “Musical Myriad” host Arthur Rovozzo, WECS Radio, 90.1FM.
Arthur’s extensive musical knowledge and passion for historical roots has led to the development of this unique 5-part series.
As Arthur describes:
“In our film schedule for presentation on Friday, March 20th, we have several different performances from the career of the great Irish vocalist Van Morrison. However, our main focus will be on vans 1974 tour shows. With his 11 member group. He called the Caledonia Seoul Orchestra. These shows demonstrated why Morrison did not want to be classified as only or just a rock singer, because the wide ranging music is heavily rhythm and blues drenched. Vans group pushed him to delirious heights, stated one of the British magazines, and singing like a lion, he put together a magnificent set list for his sensationally tight band. The 1974 concert led to the recording of one of the greatest live albums ever marketed. The set, it's too late to stop now. A legendary double LP.”
