EC-CHAP Film Series: Bob Dylan - "Don't Look Back" (1967) NR
[Rescheduled from January 19th]
SUGGESTED DONATION $5.00
SPECIAL NOTE: We are pleased to collaborate with colleague and EC-CHAP Volunteer Arthur Rovozzo to develop this multi-part film series featuring contemporary rock, blues and the “British Invasion”. Arthur Rovozzo is DJ for the weekly radio program “Musical Myriad” on WECS, 90.1fm.
This film project is the brainchild of “Musical Myriad” host Arthur Rovozzo, WECS Radio, 90.1FM.
Arthur’s extensive musical knowledge and passion for historical roots has led to the development of this unique 5-part series.
As Arthur describes:
“The intimate documentary with music, Bob Dylan Don't Look Back, may well have been the first filmed study of a rock icon where the movie was specifically a tuned to the sensibilities of the emerging counterculture. Cameramen followed Dylan all over England during his concert tour of 1965, his last journey has an all acoustic performer prior to work with the Band. Call from dozens of hours of film, the multifaceted portrait of Dylan that emerged retains a fly on the wall rawness and realism, and yet has a disorientating feeling of reality being just slightly distorted.”
We have compiled and will screen a selection of unique and relevant historic music related films from January thru April. This series is intended to share the journey and evolution of contemporary rock and blues from the sixties forward.
Join us for the screening of the final segment of this musical journey. This project is a part of the EC-CHAP Film Series hosted by the Eastern Connecticut Center for History, Art, and Performance (EC-CHAP), a 501.3.c non-profit membership-based cultural organization.
