EC-CHAP & the Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival Present: The Monthly "Bluegrass Project"
The “Bluegrass Project” will introduce area bluegrass bands monthly who will perform their own style of bluegrass music, including traditional, contemporary and original songs.
This month we will feature CT Bluegrass Band, “81 SOUTH” from central Connecticut bringing you traditional bluegrass music the likes of Jimmy Martin and other pioneers of the genre.
These performances at the Packing House will be provided by regional musicians to help proliferate bluegrass music, to bring it to those who have not yet experienced it, to generate an interest in this American genre, to acquaint new people with the annual summertime Podunk Bluegrass Festival as well as other bluegrass music events occurring, year-around, throughout the tri-state area.

The Monthly "Bluegrass Project" at The Packing House is hosted by the Eastern Connecticut Center for History, Art, and Performance (EC-CHAP) and the Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival. Open to the general public. $10.00 at the door. Doors open 6:30pm / Show 7:00pm.
